Forgot to post this yesterday. As someone born just before the decision, it seems unbelievable to me that during my lifetime it was illegal to marry someone of a different race. It also seem odd that I live in a country where over 60% of the public think a gay couple should be allowed to marry, but the government refuses to consider it.

Idiots on Parade
I really can’t decide which Republican presidential candidate is dumber – Bachmann or Palin. I don’t think any of them are particularly smart – if I did, I might be a republican…, but I have to wonder how these two could be elected president of the pompom squad much less POTUS.

Espreswhat?
One thing I haven’t been able to understand very well is how Australian’s refer to coffee. In the US we’d order black coffee or coffee with cream. In Australia, they order coffee white or coffee black. I don’t want “white” in my coffee, I want cow juice.
Another example is espresso. They have espresso style coffee, they have espresso style beans, they sell espresso makers anywhere you’d shop for a microwave (and charge $2k like it’s a normal household appliance), yet if you order an “espresso” they look at you like you’re from Mars. An espresso is a “short black” – a “long black” is a normal coffee. I think I’ll stick to making my coffee at home.
