Forgot to post this yesterday. As someone born just before the decision, it seems unbelievable to me that during my lifetime it was illegal to marry someone of a different race. It also seem odd that I live in a country where over 60% of the public think a gay couple should be allowed to marry, but the government refuses to consider it.
I think the former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau said it best: 'There's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation'
