I hear competing statements on the Abramic religions: 1. God/Allah/whatever is a god of love or religion of peace but there are radicals that pervert the message.- or -2. Those people must not know how to read. The god of the Torah/Bible/Koran is a bloodthirsty vengeful bastard.
There is probably some truth in both views, but cheers to the folks that try to lift up their fellow man rather than grind them down.
